Loro Blonyo are traditional Javanese figurines of a bride and groom, symbolising harmony, prosperity and marital balance. Originating in the royal courts of Central Java during the Mataram Kingdom they were linked to spiritual beliefs and the rice Goddess Dewi Sri and her consort, representing fertility and abundance. Over time, the tradition spread across Indonesia. In places like Bali, the figures were adapted to local styles and beliefs while preserving their core meaning. Today, Loro Blonyo remains a cultural symbol of unity, love and household well being through out Indonesia.
