An exceptional antique French giltwood six-light chandelier dating from the Napoleon III period (c. 1860–1880). Richly hand-carved with scrolling acanthus leaves, classical masks and finely executed neoclassical ornament, this impressive chandelier embodies the elegance and craftsmanship of the French Second Empire while drawing inspiration from the refined symmetry of Louis XVI design.
The warm giltwood finish and beautifully balanced six-arm form create a striking centrepiece, equally suited to grand traditional interiors or contemporary homes where an authentic period statement is desired.
