Kalimantan Vintage Glass Trade Bead Necklace

Vintage Kalimantan, Borneo glass trade bead necklace with a graduating mix of patterned beads including millefiori-style and eye beads.

There is a long bead-trading tradition of ethnic groups from Borneo and the rest of the world. This is a distinctive 20th-century ethnographic jewellery piece. Recently re-strung with plaited cord.
